Puerto Rican Fried Pork Chunks (in the Air-fryer)

A healthier version with less oil and mess.

  • Rinse and cut boneless pork loin into large bite-sized chunks. Place in a mixing bowl.
  • Add your seasonings directly to the pork: adobo, sazón, sofrito, minced garlic, and roasted garlic & herb seasoning.
  • Mix thoroughly until all pieces are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with saran wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Arrange pork chunks in the basket without crowding. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Air fry for 17–20 minutes, flipping halfway through. For a juicier result, cook for 17 minutes. For a darker, crispier finish, go up to 20 minutes.

Notes

Prefer traditional frying? Heat oil to 350°F and fry pork chunks in batches for 5–7 minutes, until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels before serving.
